Generally, fixed departures are
the group tours, where you are likely to be
joining a group of people from different countries
and regions, which would be helping you to be
culturally close with the people of different
parts & share the ideas with them. It would
be more fun when you could make friends to the
people of the places where you have never visited
or heard about it.
All our fixed departure dates
are based on entry and exit from Kathmandu.
However, you can also enter from parts of Mainland
China, i.e. Beijing, Chengdu etc. Air China
operates its flight from Kathmandu and Lhasa
on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from
2005) across the mighty Himalayas. This flight
offers spectacular views of Mt. Everest, Makalu
and many other Himalayans.

Day 01 : Kathamndu- Zhangmu/Nyalam
(3600)- 153 km: Departure at 05.30 hrs from in
front of Fire & Ice Restaurant, Thamel Square
1. Approximately 05 hours to Kodari (China/Nepal
boarder), Half an hour drive to Zhangmu, where
after completion of immigration formalities (if
time permits) We drive further to Neylam following
Bhote Koshi river in a deep valley with some overflowing
waterfalls. Overnight in guesthouse
Day 02 : ZhangmuNeylam- Tingri/Xegar
(4050M)- 285 kms: Drive through Neylam pass (3800m)
with the view of Jugal Himal. A continued drive
via Lablungla Pass (5050) has some of the outstanding
view of Mt. Xixapangma (8201 m highest in Tibet),
Mt. Makalu (8464m), Mt.Lhotse (8516), Mt. Cho
Oyu (8201m) and Mt. Everest (8848m). Overnight
in Guesthouse.
Day 03 : Tingri/Xegar-Xigatse
(3950m)-90 or+kms: Drive to Xigatse, the place
of the famous Tashilhunba monastery and the seat
of Panchen Lama. Overnight at Hotel Xegar.Way
to Xigatse.
Day 04 : Xigatse-Gyantse
(3900m)- 90kms: After visiting Tashilhunba in
the morning including the Bazaar of Xigatse. Drive
to Gyantse, which is 02 hrs. Gyantse is small
busting town steeped in history. It lies 264 kms.
Southwest of Lhasa on the northern bank of Nyang
Chu river. In the 15th century it served as the
capital of a small Kingdom. Visit Kumbum Chorten
which was built around 1400 AD. It later became
the main center for trade with British India.
Day 05 : Gyantse- Lhasa (3650m)-261
kms: 08-hrs drive takes you to Lhasa crossing
the Karo La Pass (5010m) and Kampala Pass (4794m).
The Karo La climbs between two lofty mountains,
Nozing Khang Sa (7223m) and Ralung (6236m). While
driving you will see the Yamdrok Tso (Turquoise
Lake) which takes approx. 1 hour to cross around.
After passing Kamba La, Lhasa valley is seen to
north. You will also cross the Brahmaputra River.
Arriving Lhasa and check into hotel. The accompanied
guide will reconfirm your onward airlines ticket,
make sure of it. Overnight will be in a guesthouse
using twin-sharing room. We always try our best
to provide centrally located guesthouse during
your stay in Lhasa.
Day 06 & 07 : In Lhasa :
These days you will be engrossed with sightseeing
and excursions of the Potala Palace, Norbhu Linkha
Palace, the Jokhang temple, surrounding Barkhor
market. Drepung Monastery and Sera monastery.
Day 08 : Lhasa-Kathmandu
: In the morning after breakfast around 6
am / transfer to airport, which is 02 hrs, driving
distance. Drive-representative will assist you.
Departure of flight for Kathmandu would be approx.
10.00 am. China standard time and arriving Kathmandu
9.00 am Nepal standard time.
CONDITIONS
- Minimum four participants are
required for tours to operate. In any case if
the numbers fall below than four people, we
reserve the right to cancel the tour or can
ask for the operation of the same on additional
costs.
- Flight fares are subject to
change without prior notice. The present fares
for: Kathmandu-Lhasa flight fare is US $ 284
and Tibet Visa Fee: US$ 26 (Visa rush fee USD
17 extra if original passport submitted in less
than a week prior to trip departure date &
USD 14 extra for US Passport holder)
- Road conditions to Tibet may
get worse at monsoon times of the year in this
case routings having to be modify which may
entail additional costs.
- The Chinese authorities with
whom we work reserve the right to change the
itineraries and/or costs due to reasons beyond
their control. Any such increases will be bear
by the participants and will be collected in
Kathmandu.
