Upper Dolpo Trek-26 days

Upper Dolpo region is another remote hidden destination situated far west Nepal. The home of herbal land, unspoiled trans-Himalayan culture, Buddhist monuments and unique human civilization at high altitude is worth a visit. Trekking around the Dolpo region is an unforgettable journey in every visitor's life. Observing different rain shadow landscapes with stunning mountain views, wild flowers, Himalayan blue sheep, snow leopards, and huge birds Himalayan griffon. It's difficult to grow crops there, which makes life difficult for the local people, so most of them are involved in the salt trade from Tibet, this traditional culture continue in Doplo generation to generation.
Shey-Phoksundo National Park covering north of the Dhaulagiri Range bordering the Tibetan Plateau. Here one can find a well-preserved eco-system of plants and wildlife.

OUTLINE ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu, transfer to hotel / tour briefing
Day 02: Kathmandu Valley sightseeing. Hotel
Day 03: Fly, Kathmandu / Nepalgunj, overnight hotel
Day 04: Early morning, fly to Dolpo (Juphal) then trek to Hanke
              (2660m)-Camp
Day 05: Hanke / Samduwa – Camp
Day 06: Samduwa / Phoksundo Lake (3600m)- Camp
Day 07: Rest at Phoksundo Lake- Camp
Day 08: Phoksundo Lake / cross Baga La (5090m)-camp
Day 09: Baga La / Numla base camp (5190m)- Camp
Day 10: Numla base camp / Chutung Dang (3967m)- Camp
Day 11: Chutung Dang / Chibu Kharka (3915m)- Camp
Day 12: Chibu Kharka / Saldang (4100m)
Day 13: Saldang / Yang Tsser village (4300m)- Camp
Day 14: Yang Tsser village / Karang (4100m)- Camp
Day 15: Karang / Ramanan (4600m)- Camp
Day 16: Ramanan / Samling Gompa (3800m)- Camp
Day 17: Samling Gompa / Shey Gompa (4500m)- Camp
Day 18: Rest day at Shey Gompa, visit Chakang Gompa- Camp
Day 19: Shey Gompa / Yak Kharka (4500m)- Camp
Day 20: Yak Kharka / Ringmu (3600m)- Camp
Day 21: Ringmu / Rachi- Camp
Day 22: Rachi / Roha village - Camp
Day 23: Roha village / Juphal- Camp
Day 24: Fly, Juphal / Nepalgunj / Kathmandu- Hotel
Day 25: At leisure- Farewell dinner with cultural show-Hotel
Day 26: Departure for onward destination

Extend trip: All trips are extendable at your disposal such as extra nights hotel booking, cultural city tours of Kathmandu and Pokhara, Chitwan and Bardia wildlife safari, river rafting or any others you have in mind.

Service exclude:
Expenses of personal nature, personal gears, hard/soft drinks, insurance, personal medication, rescue in case of emergency, any extra expenses due to an avoidable and lunch and dinner while in Kathmandu.
